The QA Regulatory Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance to various regulatory programs including Organic, Kosher, Halal, NGMO, Gluten Free. This position will also be responsible for foreign government registration management, as well as various customer regulatory requests.


Description of Responsibilities


  • Manage, organize, and support government licenses and documents needed for global import and export
  • Communicate quality or compliance concerns
  • Process vendors audits/GMPs documents, support vendors QA qualifying procedures, and facilitate sites inspections processes
  • Partner in the implementation and adjustment processes of quality assurance goals, objectives and procedures
  • Perform Quality tasks as needed and assigned by QA Manager
  • Travel on occasion to off-site locations for Quality compliance and issues
  • Manage all regulatory certifications including but not limited to Organic, Kosher, Halal, etc.
  • Manage customer regulatory requests
  • Maintain certification documents and procedures
  • Certification of new products to various certification programs
  • Support and advise various teams on regulatory requirements


Required Skills and Education


  • 3 or more years of experience in Quality Assurance or Regulatory in the food and supplement industry
  • BA/BS degree preferred, or equivalent education and directly related years of experience.
  • Hands on knowledge in quality control and assurance standards practices
  • 3 or more years of experience in cGMP/FDA/NOP
  • Knowledge of certification programs i.e. Kosher, Halal, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with employees and all other internal and external contacts
  • Ability to think strategically and be extremely detail oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Effective planning, analyzing information and metrics, relationship-building, and strong problem-solving skills
  • Advanced level in Microsoft Suite
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments with the ability to manage upwards and downwards
